Breakfast Pastries - Day 3

Day 3 of breakfast pastries has come and gone. It really is a whirlwind of activity everyday and before you know it you are cleaning up and getting ready to go home. Amazing. Today we shaped our danish from yesterdays laminated danish dough, added some filling and baked them. I cut my danish too small so I had mini danishes, which in the grand scheme of things isn't bad. They were a good size for tea time I guess. We also laminated our croissant dough and will be rolling that out to make croissants tomorrow. Can't wait for those! Also on the menu for today were more quick breads so we produced some corn muffins which were pretty much awesome and a date nut bread which if you are a date fan this would be pretty good I guess. Our first quiz is coming up next week (Monday). It's nice that the chef goes over every question of the quiz a couple different days before so there are no surprises. :-)

Every day we have to give Chef Isaac a few samples of what we produce for him and the other Chefs to evaluate.

Also every day we get to take home the rest of what we produce. This is just one of the tubs of goodies I took home today. Good grief this is getting out of hand already.
